Route 66 - Missouri

Before we could begin the Route 66 journey, we needed to traverse across western Kentucky and eastern Missouri. Having decided to break apart a days travel into two days proved to be a blessing. Aunt Mandy was first to run into an issue. The car rental company had a policy against in-state residents renting a car. A second incident struck when the RV’s automatic steps failed to operate.

After waiting 3 long years to make this trip happen after the pandemic, we were going to resolve this situation.

Aunt Mandy finally got her rental car and spent the rest of the day loading the car. Meanwhile, Poppy & Nana Ann along with the Osborne family hit the road heading south on the BG and west on the Western Kentucky Parkway. After 5 hours of driving, we arrived in Charleston, MO.
